The Wired Life provides straightforward management and expert advice for your select IT projects. We provide these services at our flat rate or hourly consulting fee. We will provide you with a proposal that outlines the scope, timeline and costs of the project. We can perform these projects alone, or in partnership with your IT staff. Often medium sized and larger businesses will use this service to augment their internal staff.

Example projects:
- Relocation / New Offices - We will assist with all aspects of a move. From an initial walk though of the space, server room and wiring closet design, cutover to new networks, phone systems, server and desktop computers, etc.
- Stand-In / Substitute Service - We will come to your site and work with your IT personnel to perform a quick knowledge transfer of your network, servers, facilities, phones, etc. Then we can substitute to keep your IT infrastructure running and employees productive while your permanent staff is on vacation, leave of absence, personal emergency, etc.
- Satellite Offices - We will help you setup new branch offices, including coordination with Telco and Data circuits, site to site VPNs, WAN traffic optimization, etc.
- Virtualization - We have experience in migrating standalone servers to virtualized hardware. We will assist with procurement of new hardware, best practices for redundancy and availability, and installation and migration of the virtualized systems.
- Email Upgrades - We coordinate implementations of Microsoft Exchange, hosted emails solutions, corporate integration of iPhones, and spam filtering.
- Network Upgrades - We can help you implement Switches, Stacked Switches, VLANs, Routers, Wireless equipment, Firewalls and more.
- Migration Services - We can help you migrate from Windows shop to Mac OS X or vice versa. We coordinate data migration, email migration, and will offer training to assist employees with the new environment.
- Software Upgrades - We coordinate application software upgrades, operating system upgrades on servers and desktops, re-architecture of backup and disaster recovery plans and enterprise virus control solutions.
- Server Upgrades - We coordinate upgrades from old server to new server, assist with specification and procurement of new hardware, assure all data and critical services are migrated and functional, coordinate with third party software vendors.
